Part Of I-5 Renamed To Honor Fallen Davis Police Officer Natalie Corona

A 5 mile stretch of Interstate 5 through Arbuckle is being renamed to honor fallen Davis Police officer Natalie Corona. CalTrans posted the new signs along North and Southbound lanes Thursday morning, dedicating the portion of the interstate that goes through her hometown as "Officer Natalie Corona Memorial Highway." Officer Corona was shot and killed in the line of duty January 10th, 2019 when responding to a vehicle accident. She graduated from Pierce High School in Arbuckle in 2014 and was voted homecoming queen her senior year. The Sacramento Police Department named a helicopter back in February in her honor, calling it "Halo" for Corona in Spanish.
