Cal Fire and the Placer County Fire Department Law Enforcement Investigators are ruling the cause of the Bridge Fire to be arson. The Bridge Fire started just after 1 p.m. on September 5th "around or under the (Foresthill) Bridge," according to CAL FIRE/Placer County Fire Chief Brian Estes. The fire burned 411 acres in a matter of two days, with full containment reached on September 15th. Cal Fire says this is an active case and anyone with details is encouraged to come forward.
