Twitter Flags Donald Trump's Tweet About Shooting Looters in Minneapolis

Twitter has flagged a Tweet from Donald Trump for violating community guidelines, after he wrote that "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" in Minneapolis. The city has been the epicenter of large protests and riots following the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, at the hands of police.

The full Tweet reads:

"These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd, and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!"

Just yesterday, Trump signed an executive order stripping protections for social media companies, which seemed to come as a retaliatory measure for Twitter fact-checking two of his Tweets.
