Sacramento Schools to Remain Closed for the Remainder of the School Year

All 13 school districts in Sacramento County will be closing for the remainder of the school year due to coronavirus, according to school officials. Superintendent of Schools David Gordon says the decision to close the schools was made in consultation with Sac County Public Health Director Peter Bielenson. Gordon says districts will be making resources for parents to teach their children at home available online.

Gordon says the Sacramento County Office of Education will also be making mental health resources available on its website. You can find more information about the school closures at scoe.net.

He added that some schools will be looking into virtual alternatives for graduating seniors, but options will vary for each school.
