A 97,000-gallon tank of wine in Sonoma County leaked into nearby waterways, Wednesday afternoon.
Mechanical failure is to blame at Rodney Strong Wine Estates in Healdsburg.
The leak went into a creek that flows into the Russian River.
The winery and a third party contractor have pumped wine out of the creek since the leak took place.
No fish or other animals have been affected so far, as the California Department of Fish and Wildlife have been investigating.
There also could be penalties handed out to Rodney Strong for the leak, who have likely lost millions of dollars worth of product.
