Placer Co Detectives Searching For Weapon, Witnesses In Pot Deal Shooting

Placer County Sheriff's Department says they are looking for the weapon used in the shooting of one teen by another during a pot deal gone bad earlier this week. The 15-year-old victim was allegedly shot near Colonial Village and New Airport Road in Auburn and somehow made it to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital.

Witnesses to the shooting have already been interviewed, and led authorities to a 15-year-old suspect who arrested. However, the gun wasn't found. That's why detectives are asking for pubic help in locating any additional witnesses and the weapon. Anyone with information about the shooting is being asked to contact the Placer County Sheriff’s Office Investigations Division at (530) 889-7830.
