Brock Turner Judge Now Coaching High School Tennis

The former judge in the Brock Turner sexual assault case has accepted a coaching position for the junior varsity girls tennis team at Lynbrook High School in San Jose, CA.

Aaron Persky was the first judge in California to be recalled by voters in 80 years, following his controversial sentencing in the People v. Turner case back in 2016.

He was removed from the bench in June 2018 for being too lenient in the sentencing of the Stanford student.

After being found guilty on three accounts of felony sexual assault, Persky's sentence was to serve six months in jail. Turner only served 3 months after using his time served.

School officials confirm Persky went through a standard application process.
