Grizzlies Fan Dies While Participating In Taco-Eating Contest

Authorities report a Fresno man died shortly after competing in a taco-eating contest at a Grizzlies game. A sheriff's spokesman said 41-year-old Dana Hutchings died Tuesday night while arriving at the hospital after collapsing during the "Taco Tuesday" event at the game. The event was the qualifying round for the Taco Truck Throwdown event that is to be held on Saturday.

EMT and paramedics preformed the Heimlich maneuver and CPR before Hutchings was taken to the hospital.

There is no official cause of death at this time but there is an autopsy scheduled for Thursday. The Fresno Grizzlies have released no further information or comment on the events from Tuesday.
