California Among 22 States Suing Trump Move On Coal Plants

California is one of the 22 states that are suing the Trump administration in an attempt to block a policy that favors coal-burning power plants. The issue is centered around a move by the White House to reverse strict standards passed by the Obama administration. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra says Trump is trying to illegally gut the 2015 Clean Power Plan released by former President Obama. Critics of the policy say it will force coal plants to shut down. Supporters say cleaner power sources are already providing alternatives.
