Newsom Tells Immigrants To Know Their Rights Before ICE Deportation Raids

California Governor Gavin Newsom is speaking out about Sunday's ICE deportation raids. Thursday, Newsom reposted a Twitter video in which he told people in California who might be concerned about a knock at the door by immigration officials that without a legitimate search warrant issued by a judge, ICE agents do not have the right enter your home.

The governor also spoke about rights to legal representation and due process in the video using English and Spanish.

Newsom also closed the video on an upbeat tone. Referring to the weekend of raids, the governor said, "We're going to get through it stronger than ever."
