A 17-year-old Sacramento County boy has been arrested and is facing charges in the deadly Orangevale shooting of his sister's boyfriend late this week.
Sheriff's investigators said the suspect allegedly shot the victim after the two got into a verbal altercation that escalated into a fight Thursday morning on Pershing Avenue. Responding deputies found the wounded man in his early 20’s suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body. The victim was transported to an area hospital by fire personnel, where he was pronounced dead.
The teen suspect is not being identified because he is underage. He was booked into Juvenile Hall.
