CA Lawmaker Says There's No Reason To Keep Felons From Being Jurors

California felons could be called to jury duty if a proposed bill is signed into law. Senate Bill 310 would allow any California resident with felony convictions to serve on juries.

The legislation is sponsored by Senator Nancy Skinner, who says allowing felons to weigh in on court cases ensures the jury has fair representation of California communities. She says there's no reason a felon shouldn't be able to serve on a jury.
