Yuba County Officials ID Road Rage Victim As Sacramento Man

Yuba County officials know the identity of the person killed in a road rage incident yesterday. On Thursday they verified that 36-year-old Alejandro Escobar of Sacramento was a passenger in a car when he and another passenger were shot by someone in a second car. First responders said Escobar died at the scene of the shooting on Highway 70.

The incident followed an argument in Marysville between the people in the two vehicles. One other passenger in the Escobar was riding in had to be treated for minor injuries at a hospital and was later released. The driver of that car not hurt.

The suspects have not been located at this point, and authorities said the investigation remains active. The suspect vehicle is described only as a gold colored sedan.
