Sacramento Teachers Begin Voting On Whether To Strike

Close to three-thousand Sacramento City teachers are beginning to vote on whether to authorize a strike. Members of the city's teacher's association will continue to vote over the next couple of weeks whether to strike for the first time in 30 years.

Meanwhile, the district says it has until November to come up with enough budget cuts, or it will run out of money. The district is facing a 35-million dollar budget deficit and is at risk of getting taken over by the state for the first time in its history.
