Governor Brown Picks Joshua Groban for CA Supreme Court

Governor Brown has announced his choice to fill a year-long vacancy on the California Supreme Court.  

45-year-old Joshua Groban is currently a senior advisor to the Governor, overseeing the appointment of 600 judges in the state since 2011.  Groban is also a lecturer at the UCLA School of Law. 

The job pays 253-thousand dollars a year. The Governor's nomination must be submitted to the State Bar's Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation and confirmed by the Commission on Judicial Appointments.
