Camp Fire Now Fully Contained

KFBK reporter Mike Blount shares some of the heartbreaking images he found while covering the Camp Fire in Butte County.  Take a look at the before and after images which show us the Town of Paradise before and after the flames.

The Camp Fire, which was the most destructive in California history, is now fully contained.

The fire killed 85 people, and destroyed 14,000 homes, while burning 153,000 acres.

The death toll will likely rise as 249 people are still unaccounted for.

The rain over Thanksgiving weekend helped firefighters, but raised concerns over flooding, mudslides and searching for those still missing.

Former California congressman Doug Ose, shot video on Skyway Boulevard in the Paradise area.

Butte County Sheriff/Coroner Kory Honea said anyone who reports a missing person will be interviewed by a detective and possibly be asked to provide a DNA sample to help identify family members who may be among those who have died in the fire.

There is a large number of people still missing due to the fire.  The Butte County Sheriff's Department has established new telephone numbers to take reports of people missing due to the Camp Fire.  To report someone missing in the fire or someone who was listed as missing but since has been found, please call 530-538-6570,  530-538-7544, or 530-538-7671.
