OOHHHHHH NOOOOOOO!
--Says everyone who watches the following video.
This injury certainly hurt powerlifter Yaroslav Radashkevich more than it'll hurt you to watch it.
And it will hurt you to watch it.
According to a report in the New Zealand Herald, 20yr old Yaroslav Radashkevichold was attempting to squat roughly 500 lbs. Ignoring a injury he sustained a few weeks prior to the event, the Russian athlete told a Russian news outlet...
"It turns out that two weeks ago my leg began to hurt badly. I thought that it was just pulled, so I did not pay attention, I just had painkillers, trained, prepared. I was also advised it would pass by itself, heal."
Radashkevich fractured both the tibia and fibula in his right leg, and will likely be unable to return to powerlifting.
