University of California/Davis literature professor Joshua Clover has been very outspoken about his feelings for quite a few years.
In a 2015 interview, Clover stated that, "people think that cops need to be reformed. They need to be killed."
So far, the university has issued a reprimand--but has otherwise not taken any other action.
Following an inquiry of his own, CA State Assemblyman James Gallagher has jumped into the debate.
“It’s clearly an incitement to violence,” Gallagher told Armstrong & Getty. “this guy should be fired, period”.
Assemblyman Gallagher started a petition to get the university to take action against Clover.
