88-year old Theodore McCarrick had most recently been Washington's archbishop. Following an investigation by a church tribunal, the now-former cardinal was "found guilty of solicitation in the Sacrament of Confession and sins against the Sixth Commandment with minors and with adults, with the aggravating factor of the abuse of power" which resulted in McCarrick's removal from the priesthood.
Now, there's the matter of where McCarrick will live. For the time being, he's being housed in a friary in rural Kansas.
