A California Best Buy Employee did what he thought was right by helping law enforcement apprehend a suspect . He lost his job for the act, but earned respect from the community for his actions.
Back in January, security officer Tyler Metildi was working his shift when he noticed a county detective chasing a suspect. Metildi tackled the man and held him, leading to the suspect's arrest. He told ABC10 that tackling the man seemed like a good idea, "to end the pursuit".
For his brave act, the Placer County Sheriff's Department honored Metildi with their Citizen's Medal of Merit. Watch the report below...
