Shutdown Goal: Make the Other Side Look Bad. Debra J. Saunders on A&G

The partial government shutdown is now in its 32nd day.  President Trump is showing no signs of abandoning his border wall--and Democrats still show no willingness to make any sort of deal.

On Twitter, President Trump said "without a wall, our country can never have border or national security.  With a powerful wall or steel barrier, crime rates (and drugs) will go substantially down all over the U.S."  The President added that the Democrats know this, "but want to play political games. Must finally be done correctly.  No cave!"
