#CAMPFIRE Continues to Burn Through Northern Cal

The deadly Camp Fire in Butte County is still gaining more ground than firefighters.

CalFire says it burned about two-thousand more acres overnight for a total of 113-thousand and containment remains at 25-percent, the same as last night's update.

The death toll remains the same at 29 and the estimate of structures burned is holding at just over 67-hundred.

Several hundred people have taken shelter in the Chico Walmart parking lot.

Some of the thousands of people forced from several communities by the huge Southern California wildfire are being allowed to return to their homes.

Authorities have also reopened U.S. 101. It's a major freeway artery through the fire zone in western Los Angeles County and southeastern Ventura County.
