The man who penned both "Polk Salad Annie" and "Rainy Night in Georgia" has passed.
Tony Joe White has died. He was 75.
The singers family says via a statement that White died on Wednesday in Nashville.
White, known as Swamp Fox, had a hit in 1969 with "Polk Salad Annie" which launched his career as a go-to for the likes of Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Ray Charles and more.
