It's a small legal victory for victims of violence at a San Jose Trump Rally.
A group of rally attendees left the June 2016 event, only to be lead by police into a swarm of anti-Trump protesters.
The group of 19 who are involved in the lawsuit say they were assaulted by the protesters as officers stood by and watched.
Last week, a judge in Sacramento ruled that a lawsuit filed against the Police and the City of San Jose can proceed.
