President Trump nominated the federal appeals court judge as his pick for the U.S. Supreme Court, stating that 53-year old Brett Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials and is committed to equal justice under the law.
The President chose Kavanaugh to replace retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.
