Sanctuary State Law Enforcement Frustration

There's a growing divide in California (literally north to south) regarding the legal protection of illegal immigrants.

In the south, both Orange and San Diego counties (among other municipalities) have joined President Trump in opposition to the "sanctuary state law", which provides more than two-million illegal immigrants with legal protection from federal deportation.

The Trump Administration's lawsuit against California (and conflicts between state and federal law), has lead to a patchwork of policies.  Enforcement of those policies has had the effect of pitting a variety of public safety agendas against one another--jeopardizing the safety of various communities.

The Washington Post's Scott Wilson joined Armstrong & Getty to talk about what he learned through the process of researching his latest article on the sanctuary state issue.
