INGENIOUS GIRL SCOUT FINDS CUSTOMERS AT POT SHOP

Pot and girl scout cookies are at the center of a new controversy.

The San Diego Girl Scout council says it is looking into whether one of its troops--photographed selling cookies outside a marijuana dispensary--broke any rules.

The owner of Urbn Leaf says the girl and her parents were just passing by the business with her wagon of cookie boxes. Will Senn says his business posted a photo of the girl on its Instagram account and invited customers to buy from her because he likes to support local fundraising efforts.

In a matter of hours, she sold over 300 boxes of cookies outside the pot shop.

For parents of other Girl Scouts who want to follow the entrepreneurial footsteps of this girl, Girl Scouts San Diego said everyone should consult its guide to selling cookies and follow the rules.
