PIZZA FOR BREAKFAST? Is beer far behind?

Turns out Pizza is a healthier breakfast than most cereals.

Pizza For Breakfast

The San Diego Union Tribune reports that pizzas have protein, carbs, maybe even some vegetables and a shot of cheese (thought to be the next superfood).

Those ingredients place your favorite pie ahead of cereal as the way to start your day.

Not surprising, most cereals are nutritionally bleak.  They rarely contain any protein or healthy fats.  Just lots of sugar.

Dietitian Chelsey Amer points out that your average slice of pizza has as many calories as a bowl of cereal with whole milk.

But, pizza also packs a much larger protein punch--which will keep you full throughout the morning.

While its certainly not a health food, when compared to cold cereal in bowl its a more balanced meal.
