Dolly the sheep is now not alone.
Chinese researchers announced that two female baby macaques were born in their lab via cloning.
Although the technique had been used on mammal (including dogs, cats, pigs, cows and ponies) this is the first time it was able to be successfully used with primates.
And of course, monkeys (like humans) are primates. So, this achievement moves us a step closer to being able to clone humans.
Researchers insist that while cloning humans is theoretically possible, the have no intention of doing it.
