Harvey Weinstein used security agencies to cultivate information on both the women he abused and journalists who sought to expose him.
According to a story in The New Yorker, Weinstein used two firms, one of which is staffed by former members of "Mossad and other Israeli intelligence agencies", to squash negative stories about himself.
In one instance, two private investigators (using false identities) met with actress Rose McGowan in order to gain information about who was speaking to the press about their own Weinstein experiences.
Also involved in the cover-up, former Al Gore attorney David Boies.
