The Penn State Nittany Lions and Texas Longhorns fell out of the Week 7 Associated Press Top 25 College Football Poll following losses on Saturday (October 4).
The Nittany Lions, who ranked No. 7 overall in Week 6, lost 42-37 to the previously winless UCLA Bruins in Los Angeles. The Longhorns, who ranked No. 9 overall in Week 6, lost to the Florida Gators, 29-21, on Saturday.
The defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes retained the No. 1 overall spot while being idle on a bye week. The Miami Hurricanes moved up one spot to No. 2 overall following their 28-22 win against the Florida State Seminoles.
