A tragic shooting at Antioch High School in Nashville on Wednesday (January 22) left one student dead and another injured. The shooter, identified as 17-year-old Solomon Henderson, opened fire in the school cafeteria, killing 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante before turning the gun on himself. Henderson was found dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Henderson arrived at the school by bus and retrieved a pistol from a restroom before the shooting. Chief John Drake stated that the investigation is ongoing, with authorities examining Henderson's online presence for possible motives.

Henderson's social media activity revealed disturbing content, including praise for mass shooters and extremist views. A nearly 300-page document linked to him contained alt-right paraphernalia, statements against "race mixing," and praise for Hitler. The document also included explicit photos from previous school shootings.

WKRN reported that Henderson was a quiet student known for his academic excellence, but his online activity painted a different picture. The shooting was partially live-streamed on the platform Kick, which quickly banned the account and removed the content.
