"I don't think I've ever been her teammate before, even at USA Basketball. I know people will be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn't take away from everyone else," Clark said via ESPN. "This is a huge accomplishment for everybody on Team USA and everyone on Team WNBA. They all deserve the same praise. I don't want it to take away from any of that and be the focal point of All-Star weekend because that's not fair to them."
Clark has averaged 16.8 points, 7.8 assists and 5.8 rebounds through her first 25 games, recording more than 300 points, 100 rebounds and 100 assists faster than any player in WNBA history. Reese is averaging 13.5 points, 12.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, having set and extended her WNBA record for double-doubles to 15 consecutive games.
