The world's most famous butcher, Dario Cecchini, has opened up a sandwich shop in Sacramento, reports the Sacramento Bee.

The shop, Cicci Di Carne, opened on July 15 at 500 Capitol Mall, Suite 120. According to the Bee, the location is a "ghost kitchen," a popular dining phenomenon since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Dario Cecchini was born in 1955 in the Tuscan village of Panzano, where his father was the eighth generation of Cecchini butchers. In 1976 Dario took over the family business, Antica Macelleria Cecchini, and has since been dubbed "the world's best butcher" by The New York Times," reads the Cicci Di Carne website.

The ghost kitchen is open from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. seven days a week and only offers to-go and delivery service through Uber Eats, Grubhub, and GO by Citizens.

The menu features 7-inch sandwiches stacked with meat like the Nonno Dario which has mortadella, burrata, arugula, lemon aioli, and pistachio pesto, and the Grande Tulio with salami, truffle salumi spread, mortadella, fontina, and arugula.

According to a Cicci Di Carne spokesperson Cecchini created the recipes and helped source the ingredients like his own proprietary salts.

The menu also features non-meat items like polenta wedge fries, grilled artichoke, a Caprese sandwich, and more.
