A Temecula resident will be a contestant on an episode of Wheel of Fortune on Friday, June 11.
Mark Anselmo has been a longtime fan of the game show, however, it was one of his sons that motivated him to take the steps to become a Wheel of Fortune contestant.
Mark has been married to his best friend Kathy for 27 years and together they have two adult sons, Anthony and Nicholas.
"During Covid, watching Wheel of Fortune every night together became our thing and I asked him [Nicholas] one night if he’d like to see Dad on Wheel and he said ‘yes, win car,’ so I applied online, and the rest is history!" said Mark.
When Nicholas was two years old he was diagnosed with Autism, prompting Mark and Kathy to found a nonprofit to provide local special education school programs and support for parents in the Autism community.
In 15 years, Our Nicholas Foundation has built special classrooms, started local play-date programs and sports leagues. Now, the organization has expanded to focus on young adult work opportunities.
Mark will be spinning the Wheel and solving hangman-style puzzles alongside other fathers for Wheel of Fortune's "Father's Day" week airing June 7-11.
You can watch Mark compete on the show on KABC (ABC7 ) at 7:30 P.M.
