Two Sac Supervisors Leave Meeting, Audience Not Masked-Up

One week before the state does away with pandemic restrictions, two Sacramento Supervisors are heating up discussions surrounding masks.

At a County Board of Supervisors open-meeting Tuesday, Supervisor Patrick Kennedy scolded a number of attendees who weren't wearing a mask. Both Kennedy and Supervisor Phil Serna left the meeting after a shouting match with members of the audience, saying we're not out of the pandemic yet. The two finished the meeting via zoom from their respective offices.

“I feel passionately that we as leaders of this community have to follow our own rules, so after the consent calendar I will be removing myself to go upstairs,” Kennedy said as he began to leave the meeting, according to the Sacramento Bee.
