Sacramento Woman Who Disappeared In Miami Found Safe

The Sacramento woman who was disappeared while vacationing in Miami has been found alive, Miami Police officials announced on Thursday, April 15.

On Thursday morning Angela Morrisey called 911 from Medley saying she was a missing person and was in need of medical attention, reports NBC6.

Morrisey was then taken to a local hospital. After she was discharged she was interviewed by detectives.

Once the interview was complete, she was taken to a medical facility to receive treatment for a non-life-threatening condition, according to officials.

"At this time, the Miami Police Department's investigation into Ms. Morrisey's disappearance has been closed," the department said in a statement.

The 23-year-old was last seen at Bayside Market Place on March 28. The next day her fiancé Amir El-badry filed a missing person report stating he last saw her around 8:00 P.M. the night before when she went to the bathroom and never came back.

However, El-badry later admitted the two had gotten into an argument and he went on a tour without her. When he returned she was nowhere to be found and he discovered her cellphone at a nearby store.

According to police, El-badry and Morrisey's mother, who NBC6 reports traveled from Arizona to South Florida to help search for her daughter, have both been notified that she was found and is safe.
