Sac Elderly Receive First Dose Of COVID Vaccine

Sacramento health care providers have begun vaccinating residents age 75 and up in the general public.

UC Davis Health and Sutter Health were the first to announce shots for the elderly. Davis began immunizing its patients yesterday afternoon focusing on elderly patients with acute health issues. Sutter says it plans to vaccinate patients 75 and older starting this week. Previously, the COVID-19 vaccines have only been available to health care workers, first responders and residents and staff of nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
