Sacramento, El Dorado Counties Won't Enforce California Gov's COVID Curfew

Local law enforcement in Sacramento and El Dorado counties say they won't be enforcing the new stay-at-home order. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and El Dorado County Sheriff's Office made the announcements on the same day Governor Newsom's administration ordered a "limited" curfew.

Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones said no officers will be dispatched for breaking the health orders.

The El Dorado County Sheriff's Office said calls about enforcing the new order will be deferred to the county's public health department.
