President Trump will visit Sacramento on Monday for a briefing on wildfires burning in California.
Trump will visit McClellan Park, and talk with local and federal fire and emergency officials, the White House said Saturday. The President was scheduled to visit Reno today.
The President tweeted his support, thanking first responders and firefighters in California on Friday.
Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday that he spoke with the President on the phone for 30 minutes.
Newsom said in a news briefing Friday, "He reinforced his commitment to our effort and we were grateful."
The President approved funds August 23 with a disaster declaration for California. 26,000 first responders and personnel were also deployed by the federal government.
