National Guard To Operate Pop-Up COVID-19 Testing Site in Elk Grove

California National Guard officials have announced they will set up and operate a drive-through COVID-19 testing site on Wednesday, August 12th in Elk Grove. The site will be open starting at 8:30 in the morning at the Elk Grove Regional Park located at 9950 Elk Grove Florin Road.

The testing will be free won't require an appointment,​ but it will done on a first-come-first-served basis with a limit of 100 tests available for the day. Reportedly you don't have to have any symptoms to qualify for a test, but you do have to be 18 or older, have a valid ID, and provide contact information to get the your test results. Results will be provided to residents within five to seven business days after testing.

People living in the area are also being notified about the pop-up test site via social media and word of mouth.
