Journalist Busted For Faking SoCal Looting Related Picture

A journalist reportedly working for the Washington Examiner no longer can be found on social media after she was caught staging a viral photo associated with repair work on a Southern California building damaged by vandals and looters during the recent Geroge Floyd death protests.

The young woman, who's been identified by The New York Times as University of California Santa Barbara senior Fiona Moriarty-McLaughlin, allegedly had a companion snap a picture as she held a power drill next to a boarded up business in Santa Monica, as if she was boarding up the place herself. After the photo was taken, the woman handed the drill back to a worker, hopped into a Mercedes and drove away.

She's since deleted all her social media accounts, but the event was captured on video by a bystander.
