California Governor Gavin Newsom says he is working with local faith leaders on safety protocols to reopen churches. Speaking from Napa County, the governor said on Friday guidelines for places of worship to reopen will be released Monday.

This comes as President Trump has prioritized churches to reopen in the last few days. Newsom added a majority of counties have provided protections plans that allow them to move forward into the next reopening phase.
