Gov Newsom's Homeless Campsite Map Shows Several Sacto Region Locations

A list of the nearly 300 state properties identified by Governor Gavin Newsom's administration as possible locations for encampments to house the house the homeless is out. There are several Sacramento area properties on the list, and most of them are controlled by Caltrans.

Among the locations marked on a map released to SFGATE are a building in Woodlake Park, the Sacramento Armory on Arden Way, Caltrans property next to Capital City Freeway between X Street and Broadway, Cal Expo, and a small Caltrans parking area near the intersection of Jackson Road and Sunrise Blvd south of Rancho Cordova.

Other locations in the region include Caltrans land off Highway 70 just north of Cornelius Avenue, property next to Highway 65 and Waltz Road, two more properties in Yuba City, two in Smartsville, one near Penn Valley, The Placerville Armory on Armory Road in Placerville, the Yuba City Armory on B Street, Caltrans property off Colusa Highway in Yuba City, the Lodi Armory on Washington Street, Caltrans land near Warren Road in Valley Springs, the Preston School of Industry on Waterman Rd in Ione, another Caltrans property on Mono way in East Sonora, a site in Vacaville, and several in Stockton.
