I live down the street from Rusch Park in Citrus Heights.
On Saturday they had a thing called Hot August Bites with food trucks, beer, and music.
I went with my current beau who I am absolutely smitten with, Allison.

Like I said, I live right down the street.
So we got drunk at my place (i.e. for free) and walked to the park. Pre-gaming, amirite?!

The event was cool. There were people but thankfully it wasn't super packed nor super dead.
The weather was quite hot but whatever.

I got the "special chicken" from Kado's Asian Grill.
The chicken was good quality but I was so trashed I couldn't tell if I enjoyed it or not. I'm sure it was fine.
Then I got a dessert thing. I think the soft-serve was meh but again, it coulda been the fault of the 5 Michelob Ultras I pounded.
Allison got shaved ice.

We got a little waylaid though, and by the time we made it to watch the band perform, they were packing up. I blame the booze. And Barack Hussein Obama.

We also got pho at Asian Blossom, pizza at Round Table, and watched a little Superbad.
